Portimão, Portugal (Running Africa) — Davido, Rema and Fally Ipupa will headline Afro Nation Portugal 2027, as the African music festival returns to Praia da Rocha for its seventh edition.
The three-day festival will run from June 9 to 11, 2027, in Portimão, Algarve, bringing together Afrobeats, amapiano, dancehall and electronic music stars from across Africa and the diaspora.
An opening party is scheduled for June 8, followed by a closing party on June 12.
Davido, Rema and Fally Ipupa Lead Afro Nation 2027 Lineup
Nigeria’s Davido and Rema will join Congolese star Fally Ipupa at the top of the first lineup announcement for the festival’s LIT Stage.
They will be joined by Nigerian artists Omah Lay and Victony, alongside Odeal, Jamaican performers Shenseea and Valiant, Tanzania’s Rayvanny, Bamby and Miimii KDS.
Franco-Congolese singer GIMS will appear as a special guest.
Organizers are expected to announce more performers in subsequent lineup releases.
Kabza De Small Leads Afro Nation’s Amapiano Stage
South Africa will have a strong presence on the Piano People Stage, led by amapiano star Kabza De Small and duo TxC.
Dlala Thukzin will appear as a special guest, while 031Choppa, 2woBunnies, Young Stunna and Zee Nxumalo are also included in the first wave of performers.
The stage has become Afro Nation’s dedicated platform for amapiano, reflecting the South African genre’s growing international reach.
Caiiro Joins Afrotronic Stage
South African DJ and producer Caiiro will lead the festival’s Afrotronic Stage alongside Djeff, Jamiie, Aniko and JNR SA.
The stage adds a house and electronic dimension to a festival largely built around contemporary African and diaspora sounds.
Afro Nation Portugal 2027 Tickets
Afro Nation Portugal will return to Praia da Rocha in Portimão for its main festival dates from June 9 to 11.
Presale tickets are scheduled to become available on September 29, with general ticket sales opening on September 30.
Further additions to the Afro Nation Portugal 2027 lineup are expected ahead of the festival.
